3rd Annual Rock the Block

11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
The event offers backpacks, school uniforms, supplies, haircuts, and hair styling.
Chattanooga City Councilman Russell Gilbert (District 5) will host his
annual "Rock The Block" Back to School Bash at the Brainerd Youth &
Family Development Center, 1010 North Moore Road, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
this Saturday.
The free community event helps area youth get ready for the new school year with complimentary haircuts, hairstyles and dental screenings. Councilman Gilbert hopes to supply more than 700 children in need with brand new school uniforms, book bags and supplies.
