Keebler Fudge Strip Lemmy Num-Num Lemon Cookie Flavor

Now, these Keebler Fudge Stripe Lemmy Num-Num Cookies were More delicious than I was expecting.
Yes, I like lemon foods, but I had never even heard of these Fudge Stripes Lemon Cookies before.  White frosting covers the bottom of the cookie and is striped across the top of the cookie.
Now the fact that a Minion is on the front of the package is certainly fun.
I don't know if these are just a seasonal or Limited Time cookie, but these are definitely a cookie that I would consider again.  Yum.
Yes, I've already eaten Most of the package in less than a day.
Two Thumbs Up (and an Elbow).  :)

Kellogg's Nutrigrain Lemon Crumb Cake

I recently tried Kellogg's Nutrigrain Lemon Crumb Cake.
I guess that I was expecting more of a Nutrigrain bar type texture -- or a Lemon Cake type texture.  Nope.
The first taste was not what I was expecting.  It was more chewy than I was expecting.  It had a stronger Lemon Zest aftertaste than I expected.
Well, I tried a second bite and a third and ... well, either it got better or I just got used to it.
Chewy.  Not as Lemon-ny tasting, but more of tart lemon zest aftertaste.
I'll have to think about this one before deciding.

Free National Parks Entrance Day, Monday, January 15, 2018

Free National Parks Entrance Day

The US National Park Service has announced the free entrance days for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Check out the list of participating parks here.

National parks are America’s best idea, and there are more than 400 parks available to everyone, every day. The fee-free days provide a great opportunity to visit a new place or an old favorite, especially one of the national parks that normally charge an entrance fee. The others are free all the time. The entrance fee waiver for fee-free days does not cover amenity or user fees for activities such as camping, boat launches, transportation, or special tours.

Mapco Gas

Just a reminder if you didn't notice before...

Mapco gas has a free Loyalty Card.  When you register your loyalty card and associate it with an email address, periodically they will email you a coupon offer for you to load onto your card.
Every fill-up with your loyalty card will get you 3 cents off per gallon, but sometimes they offer a coupon for you to load for 10 cents off per gallon.
I have found that at least for me, they usually email the coupons twice a week: on Saturday nights/Sunday mornings for use through that Sunday, and on Wednesday night/Thursday morning for use on that Thursday.
I smiled at the coupon offer today:

Convenience foods

I enjoy Doritos more than Cheetos, but with these convenience foods, I think the consensus was Cheetos over Doritos.

We were disappointed in the Doritos Loaded Cool Ranch.  In the picture, it looked like mozzarella cheese (like a triangular mozzarella cheese stick), but it wasn't mozzarella cheese.

The Cheetos tasted like Mac & Cheese without having to use a fork.

Ice Cream, Ice Cream, Ice Cream

Yes, I enjoy ice cream.
I have tried many different brands, and some are better than others, but some, well, I like ice cream.

Breyers is Always good.  About every grocery store carries it, so it is easy to find.

We have also found Turkey Hill to be a consistently good brand.
I found Turkey Hill Ice Cream at Food Lion (Yes, Food LION in East Ridge).
Also, paired with a sale and a coupon, they can be an acceptable price.

Mayfield is always a favorite, and pretty much all the grocery stores in the area carry it, so it is easier to find.

Food City has, what, 3 "store" brands.
Their Premium Homestyle brand is fine.
I mean, it's not a Bryers, or Turkey Hill, or Mayfield, but it's still good ice cream.

Aldi has Belmont brand ice cream.  I was hoping it would be less expensive than it is, but I'm always hoping the Everything will be less expensive than it is.  :)
The Belmont brand is similar to other store brands.  I mean, when our ice cream container is open, it usually gets finished off pretty quickly.
