Come celebrate the joy of Christmas at Covenant College’s annual Christmas concert on Thursday, December 12, 2013. A ticketed Madrigal Dessert Reception will follow the concert and carry on Covenant’s long Madrigal tradition.

Celebrate Christmas at Covenant is the result of collaboration throughout the entire music department and represents the work of students and faculty alike. Professor David Tahere serves as the lead vocal and language coach, and professors Scott Finch, Lok Kim, and David Long will direct the performance.

The concert will center on the theme: “Let All the World in Every Corner Sing—My God and King!” As the Covenant community gathers to enjoy and commemorate the Christmas season, the hope is for every person—in the audience and on stage—to lift their hearts in praise to their God and King.

The concert will feature a wide range of musical talent including the Madrigal Singers, Early Music Consort, Brass Ensemble, Covenant Chorale, and Chamber Orchestra.

Live Nativities closer to St Elmo???

Why are there no Live Nativities closer to St Elmo?  I'm just saying, I would like to go to one of these Live Nativities, but I just don't want to drive half of an hour to get there (okay, it's really the getting back home part that I'm not so keen on).
Does anyone know of a closer Live Nativity?  I remember when I was younger, the church we attended had a live nativity with live animals and different scenes with little mini-plays at each station. We also had Christmas music and refreshments.  What fun.  Now if only I could find something like that to give some memories for our children ...
