MPRL: Robotics Day with STEAMbot at Downtown Library, Thursday, June 21, 2018

MPRL: Robotics Day with STEAMbot

Have you ever built a real working robot? If not, this is your opportunity to build a robot, called the STEAMbot! You can control STEAMbot via your smartphone, or you can let it follow you, but don’t get too close. If you do, the STEAMbot will back away from you. In addition, you’ll be able to program the STEAMbot with two different methods. You can use a ChromeBook to program the STEAMbot with Blockly. Blockly is a “block programming” language where you drag a “block” to your screen and join the blocks together to create a program. Or, for more advanced programming, you can use a computer and program the STEAMbot with the Arduino IDE using C/C++.
This program is brought to you in collaboratin with STEAMEngine. Registration is Required for ages 10+ without a parent or 7+ with an adult helper.

Location: Downtown, The 4th Floor, Event Space
