Free Gift Wrapping
at Two Blood Assurance locations

Blood donors toting gifts at two locations of Blood Assurance on Friday,
November 27, can get those packages wrapped for free. From 9 a.m.
until noon, designated workers at donor centers in East Brainerd (1740
Gunbarrel Road) and Hixson (1920 Northpoint Blvd) will trade gauze and
bandage tape for bows and invisible tape to wrap gifts as a thank you to
donors, who can save upt o three lives with a donation of blood.
Officials say the 45-minute process fills a critical need as blood
donations are traditionally lower during the holiday season. And you
get a drink and a snack when you're done. To be eligible to donate
blood, you must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with parental
consent), weight 110 pounds or more and be in good health.
