City Beats provides downtown Chattanooga with a day of music, Saturday, March 30, 2019

City Beats provides downtown Chattanooga with a day of music
River City Co., SoundCorps and Jazzanooga (now known as Rise), partnered in March 2018 for a day of music along East M.L. King Boulevard in order to support businesses that were affected by a temporary street closure for road construction.
So successful was that event that it is being brought back this month — only with a new name and location, but still the original format of a free street party to enjoy music by local artists while supporting local businesses.
City Beats will be held Saturday, March 30, around the Passageways Alley/Cooper's Alley in downtown Chattanooga.
Starting at 2 p.m., the public is invited to stroll the alley at 10 E. Seventh Street and the 700 blocks of Cherry and Market streets while enjoying lunch or dinner at one of the surrounding downtown venues.
Inside nearby businesses, local musicians will play from 2 to 9 p.m.
Following is the schedule of artists, locations and times.
2-4 p.m. DLY2, soul/funk, Cadence Coffee, 11 E. Seventh St.
6-8 p.m. OGYA World Music, rhythm/dance, Cooper's Alley/Passageways Installation, 10 E. Seventh St.
7-9 p.m. Mary Edwards, jazz, London Calling, 715 Cherry St.
7-9 p.m. C Grimey, hip-hop, The Mad Priest, 719 Cherry St.
7-9 p.m. Gino Fanelli, jazz, Burns Tobacconist, 723 Cherry St.
7-9 p.m. Amber Fults, folk, Bantam + Biddy, 728 Market St.
7-9 p.m. The Trinity Band, jazz, Chattanooga Billiard Club, 725 Cherry St.
8:15-9:15 p.m. Tryezz, DJ, Cooper's Alley/Passageways Installation, 10 E. Seventh St.
