First Lady's Book Patrol coming to South Chattanooga Recreation Center, Wednesday, June 25, 2014

First Lady Crissy Haslam will visit Chattanooga on Wednesday, June 25 as part of a statewide swing to launch the First Lady's Read20 Book Patrol, a project partnering with law enforcement across the state to help encourage summer reading.

First Lady Haslam will meet with members of the Chattanooga Police Department at roll call to share more about her literacy initiative. Later that day, Mrs. Haslam and police officers, including Chattanooga Police Chief Fred Fletcher, will deliver books to school-age children throughout the community at several City of Chattanooga Youth and Family Development Centers to help encourage reading over the summer and support for local law enforcement.
