The best day of the year is almost here! MAINX24 is a
24-hour long festival celebrating Main Street and the surrounding
Southside, held every December since 2007. The festival is the
neighborhood's way to celebrate and showcase the burgeoning Southside.
There are more than 100 events taking place during the 24 hour event.
MAINx24 officially kicks off at 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 7 with the much-loved Mainx24 Pancake Breakfast at the Main Street Fire Hall. Scheduled events also include: the eclectic EPB MAINx24 Southside Parade with Mutt and Stroller Struts; the World Heavy Weight Chili Championship - A MainX24 Event; Glow Zoom 5k and Glow 2.0 - MainX24 Main Event; various showings and open houses by Southside artists and galleries; MAINx24: Big Wheel Championship (for adults) to support the Children’s Advocacy Center; Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews & Orleans Avenue at Track 29; and much, MUCH more. MAINx24 concludes on Sunday morning with the Grand Finale Breakfast at Hart Gallery TN!
