Hamilton County Sheriff's Office holds child seat safety check, Tuesdays, July 2015

A child seat safety check will be conducted by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday afternoon from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at the Chuck E. Cheese in Hixson.
Officials encourage parents to visit and meet with HCSO Safe Journey staff, who will help install, review, and/or check to ensure their child safety restraints are properly installed.
Safe Journey personnel host multiple checks throughout each month at various locations within Hamilton County.
Upcoming safety check checks are:

CARTA Multimodal Transportation Center Study - Thursday, July 9, 2015 Meeting

The study is designed to analyze how the bus system works now and to look for opportunities to improve on the system and plan for the future.  It is also looking at where and how to create one or more multimodal transportation centers in the city to conveniently and comfortable accommodate all local travel needs. CARTA wants to make sure that neighborhood organizations have a chance to learn about the study and to have a say in the decisions that will be made.

On Thursday July 9 there will be a public workshop to invite public input in the study.  It will be at 5:30 pm in the Imperial Ballroom of the Chattanooga Choo Choo.
