37404 Tour: Causeway Challenge Kickoff Saturday, July 14, 2018

37404 Tour: Causeway Challenge Kickoff
Saturday, July 14, 2018
9 a.m.
The Causeway Challenge is all about empowering individuals to solve problems in their own communities. For our 7th challenge, we're asking, "How can we use common spaces to strengthen the neighborhoods in 37404?" Applications are open for the month of July. We will award $3000 and four months of coaching to the top 10 ideas chosen by our community judges.

We believe that the best ideas highlight things that already exist in the neighborhood. Join us for a guided biking or a walking tour of the 37404 area. We will look at existing spaces and programs, and hear from the residents and organizations in the neighborhoods to give you context and inspiration for your Challenge project.

Both tours will start and end at Tatum Park. We will get started at 9:00am on Saturday July 14th, and be back at the park by 11:30 for a cookout with Chatter Box, and music from DJ MCPRO. Even if you cannot make it to one of the tours, we hope you will still join us for the cookout. We will have tons of neighborhood leaders there for you to meet and hear their insights.

You can bring your own bike to ride, or we will have some available to borrow for the tour.

BIKE ROUTE — 4.8 miles
The route is very flat with the exception of one hill, and the stops along the way make it less strenuous. If you are a comfortable biker, join us! There is safety in numbers.
