Cruise-A-Nooga - monthly slow [bike] rides with a theme
Do you feel the need? The need for speed? Yes? Well, then this event is not for you!
Introducing Cruise-a-nooga. A slow ride for the best town ever. Each month a new theme, new costumes, and new friends. Presented by Hattanooga.
Our first ride will be during REI Chattanooga's Play Day weekend! If you don't have a bike, Chattanooga's bike share is complimentary of REI all weekend! Station maps and more info here... https://bikechattanooga.com/
How we roll:
We will dress, gather, then ride.
We will respect the Fun Day. There are weekdays for labor, but Sunday Fun Day will be your day to Cruise in costumes.
We will adhere to the buddy system (please only ride two abreast or side-by-side on roadways) and obey all traffic laws (no running red lights).
We will not make excuses for weather. We ride rain or shine.
We yield to those with the most lug nuts. No need to be a hero, let the cars, trucks, and buses have the right of way.
We will be safe. You are riding at your own risk. We are not liable for any damage you cause to yourself or to others.
Lastly, we ride to have fun. This isn't the Tour de Nooga, so keep it slow and enjoy being outside!
The ride starts and ends at Renaissance park, with a pit stop in downtown St. Elmo.
This is a free ride. Should you feel the need to pay, Hattanooga will be taking totally optional $1 donations for Hamilton County school programs. Monthly Themes below...
June 3: Saturday Morning (cartoons, pajamas, cereal, etc.)
July 1: Stars and Stripes
Aug 5: Cardboard, bubble wrap, and Duct Tape (an ode to the DCR)
Sep 2: Theme TBD
