Black Music Month: This IS Hip-Hop
Saturday, June 23
Saturday, June 23
11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
The history of Hip Hop stems from black community consciousness
within the United States. Hip Hop culture can be viewed as a direct
response to the socio-economic issues that spawned from that history. It
is more than music, Hip-Hop is a culture.
Join us on Saturday, June 23rd
as we place a spotlight on some of the amazing talent from
Chattanooga's growing Hip-Hop culture. This FREE outdoor showcase will
feature local artists, Tru Saint, YKC Nation, Erika Roberts, Different
Diva and DJ ThaVibe. There will also be a host of visual artists
showcasing their work that depicts elements of the Hip-Hop culture.
Local Hip-Hop Guru and community arts advocate, Cameron Williams will host this afternoon of Hip-Hop music and culture!
