A national expert on public health, David R. Williams, Ph.D, of Harvard University, will give a talk at Southern Adventist University on the complex ways in which socioeconomic status, race, stress, racism, health behavior and religious involvement can affect health. The Everyday Discrimination Scale Williams developed is one of the most widely used measures of discrimination in health studies. His program is set for 11 a.m. Thursday in the Iles PE Center on the Collegedale campus.
