Jazz Vespers: St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 630 Mississippi Ave., will host a Jazz Vespers service for the 13th year at 5 p.m. Jan. 27. Performing will be Kathy Tugman and the David Walters Trio along with Philip Newton and Gigi Walters. The service is structured around the lighting of a vesper candle in the bleak midwinter. Short liturgical readings and recitations of poetry will be interspersed with the music. A freewill offering will be received
