Storm Water Symposium - Save the Date!
by green|spaces
Join Greg Hoffman with The Center for Watershed Protection for the
upcoming Chattanooga Stormwater Symposium. An outline of the day will be
coming shortly. The goal of the symposium is to equip local engineers,
landscape architects, developers and designers with the knowledge of a
variety of techniques to meet the City of Chattanooga Stormwater
requirements. Included in the day will be a tour of Anderson Avenue, a
green infrastructure demonstration project by the City of Chattanooga.
Topics and activities included in the training:
- Review of the design requirements for various stormwater control measures.
- A field trip to a green infrastructure demonstration site.
- Discussion of solutions for challenging sites, including low-infiltration soils.
The Chattanooga Stormwater Symposium is sponsored by the City of
Chattanooga & Grace Frank Group in partnership with green|spaces and
American Society of Civil Engineers' Environmental Water Resources
Institute.
Coffee, Lunch and PDHs will be included.
About Greg Hoffman: Greg has been with the Center
for Watershed Protection since 2008. Through his work at the Center,
Greg has had the opportunity to design numerous stormwater retrofits and
develop stormwater regulations and guidance manuals for several states
and communities. Greg has a master of engineering and a bachelor of
science in environmental engineering from Michigan Technological
University. He would be happy to discuss all things stormwater with
you, but as a native Wisconsinite, would be just as happy discussing his
beloved Packers.
*This is a technical workshop to train local engineers,
designers, contractors, architects and developers on Green
Infrastructure design as part of the City of Chattanooga’s Consent
Decree program.
