Vintage Base Ball at Engel Stadium
Sunday, June 15
Noon-5 p.m
What's better than baseball? How about FREE Vintage base ball on Fathers Day on the same field where some of the greats have played? How about on a movie set? HOW ABOUT BOTH!That's right; TaoVBB will be hosting a free double-header of vintage base ball on Fathers Day at Historic Engel Stadium in Chattanooga!
Come see your favorite vintage ballists play at the same stadium where "42 - The Jackie Robinson Story" was filmed and the same dirt that baseball greats like Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Hank Aaron, Satchel Paige, Willie Mays, Harmon Killebrew, Ferguson Jenkins, Kiki Cuyler, and Rogers Hornsby once played.
Watch base ball as it was played in the 1860's. Players play by the vintage rules and customs while wearing period uniforms.
It was a gentleman's game in the 1860s. There was no spittin', no swearin' and no gloves!
Parking and admission to both games are FREE!
Gates open at 11am EDT.
Noon - Oak Hill Vintage Base Ball Club vs. Franklin Farriers Vintage Base Ball Club
2:30 - Highland Rim Distillers Vintage Base Ball Club vs. Nashville Maroons Vintage Base Ball Club
