Free National Park Entrance on Monday, August 25, 2014
Free National Park Entrance
It's our birthday, and we hope you'll visit a national park and help
us celebrate! On August 25, 2014 the National Park Service turns 98
years old. We are waiving entrance fees and inviting everyone to join in the festivities taking place coast-to-coast.
Our big day, August 25, is a free-entrance day, so head to any of the country's 401 national parks and take in the scenery, learn a little history, or simply enjoy the great outdoors.
Ninety-eight may sound old, but we're young at heart and celebrating
with everyone who shares our youthful exuberance! Parks across the
country are offering loads of fun activities. Take the kids on a caving
adventure, bike ride, kayak tour, hike, or island safari. Catch a
campfire talk, make a painting, or witness a living history
demonstration. Search the events calendar to find out what's happening at a park near you! You can help the kids earn a free Junior Ranger badge at almost any park—just ask at the visitor center.
Let us know how you plan to celebrate the National Park Service's
birthday or tell us about your adventure when you come back! Share your
photos or videos with our friends at the National Park Foundation at www.NPSbirthday.org.
*Fee waiver includes: entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise.
Flintstones Gummies Vitamins
We got some Fintstone Gummies vitamins for the kids and they were a HIT! They taste so good that the kids wanted to eat more than their recommended dose. :)
1 gummie for 2 - 3 year olds
1 gummie for 2 - 3 year olds
2 gummies for 4 and older
My kids haven't really seen the cartoon of the Flintstones, so they don't really know all of the characters. They would choose different character shapes each day and I had to laugh when I was asked for the dog. I guess that Dino Did Act like a dog, but Dino was a dinosaur. :)
I would recommend these vitamins, but I would also recommend keeping them out of the reach of little hands. They think of them as candy and although eating your vitamins every day is good, eating all of the vitamins in one day would not be so good. :)
