Come celebrate the joy of Christmas at Covenant College’s annual
Christmas concert on Thursday, December 12, 2013. A ticketed Madrigal
Dessert Reception will follow the concert and carry on Covenant’s long
Madrigal tradition.
Celebrate Christmas at Covenant is the
result of collaboration throughout the entire music department and
represents the work of students and faculty alike. Professor David
Tahere serves as the lead vocal and language coach, and professors Scott
Finch, Lok Kim, and David Long will direct the performance.
The
concert will center on the theme: “Let All the World in Every Corner
Sing—My God and King!” As the Covenant community gathers to enjoy and
commemorate the Christmas season, the hope is for every person—in the
audience and on stage—to lift their hearts in praise to their God and
King.
The concert will feature a wide range of musical talent
including the Madrigal Singers, Early Music Consort, Brass Ensemble,
Covenant Chorale, and Chamber Orchestra.
Come celebrate
Christmas at Covenant College. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and
is free and open to the public. The ticketed Madrigal Dessert Reception
will immediately follow the concert. Join Covenant Madrigal Singers,
students, alumni, and friends of the College for a time of fellowship
and Christmas cheer in the Great Hall.
