Coupon Ignorance Issues

Yes, I know that I seem to have more Negative Issues with ... well, with LOTS of things, but in this case, my issues concern coupon ignorance.
I know that cashiers are only as good as their trainer, but I just want to point out that when a coupon has an expiration date, the coupon is Valid on that day.  Today is May 31, thus, I CAN redeem a coupon with an expiration date of May 31.  Tomorrow, June 1, it will be expired, but it is NOT expired on the date of expiration.
In my frustration, I often wonder why I even TRY to use coupons.

Bike Race Road Closings

Just in case you're not aware, there's a big bike race TODAY. Actually there are several, but the women's pro road race and the men's pro road race will both be coming down Broad St and into downtown St Elmo before heading up Lookout on Ochs and coming back down Scenic and Cummings. The women will do two full loops through here and the men will do four.

Basically, if you need to leave St Elmo to go downtown or get on the highway, you're going to want to go out via Tennessee and 40th and down Alton Park / Market. Broad Street is going to be running both directions on one side of the street, with the other side closed off for the race. So it won't be closed completely, but you'll still be way better off heading down Market. If you need to go up Lookout, they will be allowing traffic up Ochs in waves between passes of the caravan, but honestly, I'd probably think about going up Nickajack instead. If you need something at the Tiftonia Wal-Mart, GO TONIGHT! There will be no good way to get there tomorrow other than I-24. Ochs will be one way up; Scenic will be one way down, but Cummings will be closed entirely if they do it like last year. People coming down the mountain will have to go down to Tiftonia and get on the highway to come back downtown.

The womens race starts at 9:00 and should pass through St Elmo between 9:30 and 9:45 and then again between 10:15 and 10:45.

The men start at 1:30 and should pass through between 2:30 and 2:45 the first time, and about 45 minutes apart for three more laps.

Even though the race doesn't start until 9:00, I would expect to see them blocking the lane on Broad St and closing Cummings well before that, probably at 7:30 am. I assume they'll start clearing things up as soon as the last of the men pass through the last time, but that could be as late as 5:30.

There also have been and will continue to be a lot of bikes on the road today. Be careful. Thanks!
