Free activities, prizes, fun for kids
On March 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., a birthday party to honor Dr. Seuss will be held. There will be snacks, book readings, activities, prizes while supplies last and a visit from the Cat in the Hat.
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., children can get a learning checkup at the mall's Play Area. The family of every child who gets a learning checkup will receive a free family pass to the Creative Discovery Museum.

Attention St. Elmo gardeners, growers, seed enthusiasts, and plant lovers. We would like to formally invite you to the 1st Annual St. Elmo Seed Exchange. Hope to see you there.

Location: Historic St. Elmo Fire Hall. 4501 St. Elmo Ave. Chattanooga, TN 37409. 
Date: Saturday March 3, 2012
Time: 11:00 to 1:00 pm. Set up begins at 10:00 and opens to general public at 11:00.
About the Seed Exchange: St. Elmo Seed Exchange is being established to provide an opportunity for local people to exchange seeds and interact in a fun and friendly environment. We want to encourage people to build cultural diversity and biodiversity within our community.
Get free seeds for your garden, trade rare and heirloom seeds, or just come to learn more about the seed exchange and have fun.
Our Goals: Increase food security in our community as well as to sustain healthy levels of biodiversity.
What to Bring: Seeds, bulbs, cuttings or plants. We want to encourage the use and trade of open pollinated and organic seeds.
Labeling/Packaging Seeds for the Exchange: Please label and prepackage seeds with the following: Latin Name (if possible), Common Name, Date Saved or Seed Company Name and Variety if purchased from a seed company. Please ensure that hybrids from seed companies are clearly marked. Do not save seeds from hybrids.
